Rimas Sports, the Puerto Rico-based sports management agency co-founded by global recording artist Bad Bunny, along with executives Noah Assad and Jonathan Miranda, is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of Latin American athletes. The agency has made a significant stride by signing Tatiana “Tata” Calderón, marking her as their inaugural professional racing driver. This partnership, centered on marketing and brand collaborations, highlights Calderón’s amazing journey in a traditionally male-dominated field.

At just 31, Calderón has cemented her legacy as one of the most successful Latin American race drivers to date. Notably, she became the first Latin American woman to test drive a Formula 1 car, showcasing her exceptional talent and determination. Her experience spans multiple Formula 1 feeder series, and she remains the only woman to have successfully navigated the single-seater ladder. Recently appointed as the first female ambassador for the Mexico Grand Prix, she has also contributed to the development of the new FIA Formula 3 car, further solidifying her impact in the sport.

Beyond the racetrack, Tata has emerged as a fervent advocate for women’s empowerment, actively promoting initiatives designed to inspire young women to challenge stereotypes and pursue their ambitions. Her commitment to uplifting others aligns seamlessly with Rimas Sports’ mission to amplify underrepresented voices in athletics.

Tatiana Calderón and Rima Sports’ Journey Is Off to a Great Start

Jonathan Miranda, CEO of Rimas Sports, expressed excitement about Calderón’s addition, saying in an official statement, “We’re very happy about Tata’s addition to the Rimas Sports family. She is not only the first athlete outside of baseball on our roster, but the first female athlete. This partnership is incredibly important to us, as we believe that it will elevate Tata’s career and amplify her voice to new heights. Together, we hope to keep pushing the boundaries of women’s sports.”

Calderón shared her enthusiams about joining the agency too: “I am very happy to be part of the Rimas Sports family. I believe that this alliance will boost my sporting career in many fields and I am proud to be the first woman to join the team, so that together we can continue to pave the way for women in sports. Thank you Rimas Sports for opening the doors for me and for believing in Latin talent! Let’s go all out!”

Currently, Tata is competing for Gradient Racing in the IMSA Michelin Endurance Cup. Rimas Sports continues its mission to enhance representation for Latin American athletes, boasting a roster of over 70 talents, including prominent figures in Major League Baseball such as Ronald Acuña Jr. and Francisco Álvarez.

This partnership with Calderón is set to further broaden athletic representation as well as inspire future generations of women in sports.
