BELatina TV is back with a new episode!
For our first episode of 2023, our amazing hosts, Karent Sierra, and James Tahhan introduced us to so many new things. From heart-healthy meals to a brand that promotes body positivity, we wonder what we were doing before this episode. Knowledge is power and our hosts definitely know that!
Starting off with body positivity
The episode starts off with Karent speaking with the Latina stylist, Geraldine Henriquez. Both Latinas wore beautiful lingerie from Understance’s diverse collection, Easy Intimates. There’s even some magic involved during this segment!
What stood out the most from everything Easy Intimates offers is how much they focus on comfort. They design their products to relieve, smooth, lift, and more. They do all this without sacrificing style.
Understance’s Easy Intimates offers bras in 28-48, A-J cups, and continue to expand their size range. They believe in diving into what it means to be a leader in the body positivity movement and it’s reflected in all their different style. How great is that?
Getting dolled up can work up anyone’s appetite, so thank goodness for Chef James!
Food makes everything better
Being that it is American Heart Health Month, James decided to cook something special. Chef James cooked stewed pork with white rice as well as marinated steak with jalapeño during this segment. He was able to prepare each heart-healthy dish to perfection thanks to Mazola® Corn Oil’s* high smoke point and its neutral flavor. Karent took on her usual role as a professional food taster and gave both meals a perfect score.
The last segment of this episode is as exciting as it involves learning more about James.
James chisme and more thanks to his wife, Russel Conde
We spoke to his wife, Russel Conde, who has known James since they lived in Venezuela – a true love story.
But aside from their wonderful story, it is important to note how Russel is a Latina powerhouse. She’s an athlete, an entrepreneur, a wife, a mom, and so much more.
During her segment, Conde mentioned the importance of discipline, something she learned through her Martial Arts training. This type of lifestyle was passed on to her by her father.
The ever-ambitious woman even set Karent up with her own kickboxing class before the episode ended! Though Karent was giving every excuse in the book on why she couldn’t take part, Russel came prepared for everything. You’ll see what we mean when you watch the episode.

*Very limited and preliminary scientific evidence suggests that eating about 1 tablespoon (16 grams) of Corn Oil daily may reduce the risk of heart disease due to the unsaturated fat content in Corn Oil. FDA concludes that there is little scientific evidence supporting this claim. To achieve this possible benefit, Corn Oil is to replace a similar amount of saturated fat and not increase the total number of calories you eat in a day. One serving of this product contains 14 grams of Corn Oil.
