Latinos Win Big at the 2022 Grammy Awards

Latinos set the beat on the big night of music last Sunday, conquering the stage and the Latin categories. The 64th Annual Grammy Awards featured performances by J Balvin, Maria Becerra, Aymée Nuviola, Rachel Zegler, and Sil Sonic. The ceremony also recognized Eliane Elias (feat. Chick Corea and Chucho Valdés), Alex Cuba, Bad Bunny, Juanes, Vicente Fernández and Rubén Blades in the Latin categories.

Eva Longoria Announces New Podcast Series with iHeartMedia

Launching on March 31, the scripted series “Connections with Eva Longoria” promises to take listeners back to what makes us uniquely human: our desire to authentically connect with others. Longoria and her guests will tackle complex topics such as spirituality, money, romance, food, politics, and parenting. Jay Shetty, Huda Kattan, Dr. Shefali Tsabary, Elsas. Shooting rattles Sacramento

At least six people have been killed and 10 injured in a shooting in downtown Sacramento, according to police in the California state capital.

The shooting took place at around 02:00 hours (09:00 GMT) in an area at 10th and K streets leading to the Golden One Center, where the Sacramento Kings play basketball. People fled through the streets after rapid gunfire erupted in an area packed with restaurants and bars in the early hours of Sunday.

No suspects have yet been arrested following the shooting.

The Latino Victory Fund announced its list of endorsements for Latinas

The Latino Victory Fund announced Friday the list of endorsements for candidates running in the 2022 congressional elections who would be the first Latinas elected to office.

The campaign, dubbed “First Latinas,” will cover two seats in the House of Representatives, four statewide offices, and three seats in state legislatures. Among the candidates are Oregon State Representative Andrea Salinas, Yadira Caraveo in Colorado, Nellie Gorbea in Rhode Island, and Annette Taddeo in Florida.

The brand has released a documentary-style short film that chronicles the quinceañera of Isa, a forty-year-old trans woman who was denied the party as a teenager. Created in collaboration with agency Grey New York, the five-minute film highlights how this kind of exclusion from cultural and social acceptance affects trans people.
