¡Holi! Happy Friday, BELatina!
It’s finally the end of the week – and making it this far is worth the celebration! Pues, it’s all about self-care, right?
But as we jump into the weekend to pamper ourselves or try to disconnect ourselves from the world (as much as our daily routines allow us), let’s go over some of the things that happened in our community.
From Selena Quintanilla’s new vocal-altered remix “Como Te Quiero Yo A Ti,” to diving into the cancellation of “Batgirl,” here are the best stories of the week in BELatina.
On July 29, 2022, the song “Como Te Quiero Yo A Ti” was re-released in a style that has never been heard before. “Everything was recorded on vinyl. So we had to kind of fuse the old school ways with the new school ways. Clean Selena’s vocals, put them on timing. And then we also pitched her vocal down just a hair to make her sound a little bit more mature,” said Selena’s brother and music producer A.B. Quintanilla.
From seeing the bigger picture to being open to love again, we wrote about five life lessons we learned from watching “Teresa.” Did Teresa ever teach you anything?
Spa water, who?! We just got another reason to love the iconic Mexican Jarritos drink. The brand announced a JarriTODOS (Jarritos for Everyone) Artist Grant Contest that will give five lucky creatives a $10,000 grant to help their endeavors.
The cancellation of the film could mean bigger and better things for Batgirl – and the first step to a more structured DCEU.
