In a celebration, not only joined by Argentina when Messi and the rest of the team raised the World Cup after beating France in an incredibly heart-stopping game, millions of soccer fans around Latin America celebrated another country’s win as if it was their own. 

That’s the beauty of soccer. It has the power to unite or to divide, and Latines have shown that celebrating other Latines’ victories is nothing but a strength that only makes us prouder of our roots.

After multiple heart-stopping reunions throughout the last few years, the official news of RBD’s comeback is here. Five out of six of the original members will be back on January 19.

VA Medical Center in San Diego is Honoring a Latina for the First Time Ever

Recently, the VA Medical Center located in La Jolla, San Diego decided to rename itself to honor a Latina for the first time ever. Its new name is the Jennifer Moreno Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center. The VA Medical Center is also celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. 

AP Names Mexican Actor Tenoch Huerta Breakthrough Entertainer

There’s no doubt that the film Black Panther: Wakanda Forever has been huge in matters of Latine representation, where Marvel used Indigenous traditions, language, and connotations to portray the movie’s characters and their surroundings. 

Speaking of the sequel’s characters, Mexican actor Tenoch Huerta, who plays Namor, has been turning heads for his role. Most recently, he was named one of 2022’s Breakthrough Entertainers by The Associated Press (AP).
