Afro-Latina rapper Cardi B has become the first woman rapper to earn two Diamond-certified singles after her collaboration with Maroon 5, “Girls Like You,” earned the recognition.

“Wow, I got two Diamond records! Thank you sooo much @maroon5 for including me on this song, and this is the song I cater to my daughter every time I perform it. I’m forever grateful,” tweeted Cardi B on Monday night.

The Recording Industry USA announced that Maroon 5’s “Girls Like You” featuring Cardi B surpassed the 10 million unit sales mark. Cardi previously earned a Diamond plaque for “Bodak Yellow.”

As explained by All HipHop, “Girls Like You” topped Billboard’s Hot 100 chart for seven weeks in 2018. The music video for the Red Pill Blues track has more than 2.1 billion views on YouTube.

This is the second time Cardi B has made history this year. In March, she became the first woman rapper to have a track go Diamond. “Bodak Yellow” spent four weeks at No. 1 on the Hot 100, and the music video racked up more than 1 billion plays on YouTube.

Maroon 5 released the track in 2018, along with a video that featured an all-star lineup of famous women, including Jennifer Lopez and Gal Gadot and activists like Angy Rivera and Franchesca Ramsey.
