The Netflix documentary, “Mucho Mucho Amor,” is all the hype and we are here for it. It’s as though we’ve all been waiting for the moment where our astrology guru, Walter Mercado, would get the spotlight he’s always deserved. I can personally say I’m thankful for the position of the planets and stars that illuminated Cristina Costantini, Kareem Tabsch, and Alex Fumero, the visionaries of this masterpiece. They knew Mercado needed to speak to us via our shared Netflix accounts at this exact moment considering 2020 has been quite the ball. It is from our admiration and gratitude for their contribution to the Latinx community that BELatina knew it was imperative to speak to the geniuses behind this documentary.

Shirley Gómez, BELatina’s talented reporter, interviewed them. She asked them questions BELatina’s viewers wanted answered and other things that would help anyone understand their drive for their creation.

For the duration of “Mucho Mucho Amor,” we are able to sit with the person who was part of our extended family, our childhood hero, our Walter Mercado, once again. Here we are, in the middle of a sticky summer, basking in our nostalgia as we welcome his positive outlook of life in a reality that yearns for that more than ever.

But we shouldn’t lose sight of what matters. It’s still within us. It’s As Walter Mercado said in the documentary: “Heaven is here, heaven is now.”
