Jake Paul is once again turning heads, this time with a bold challenge aimed at none other than Saúl “Canelo” Álvarez.

Fresh off his recent win over Edgar Berlanga, where he successfully defended his super middleweight titles, Canelo has indicated that he plans to take a break with his family before announcing his next moves for 2025. But Paul, the YouTuber-turned-boxer, seems to have other plans, openly declaring his intentions to face the Mexican champion.

What’s Going On with Jake Paul?

Currently preparing for an anticipated bout against former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson, which was postponed due to Tyson’s health issues, Jake Paul didn’t shy away from stirring the pot. While promoting his upcoming fight, Paul issued a direct warning to Canelo, expressing confidence in his ability to defeat the world champion.

In an interview with TMZ Sports, Paul laid out his ambitions, claiming that a fight between him and Canelo is inevitable and that he would shock the boxing world. “Everything I’ve said has come true, and that’s why Canelo should be up at night, because I’m coming for him. The fight will happen, and I’ll win and surprise the whole world,” Paul boldly stated.

Canelo Seems Unimpressed

This isn’t the first time Paul has called out Canelo, as he has consistently voiced his desire to face the Mexican superstar. Despite Canelo’s repeated dismissals, Paul remains undeterred, pointing to his victories over seasoned fighters like Tyron Woodley and Anderson Silva as proof of his capabilities. He also brushed off critics who think he’s out of his depth, doubling down on his ambition to square off with top-tier champions.

“People sit there and say, ‘Oh, he’s crazy,’ but they said I was crazy when I beat Tyron Woodley and Anderson Silva. So, you’re crazy until you’re not,” Paul added.

While Jake Paul’s challenge to Canelo has yet to materialize into a fight, his continued pursuit of high-profile opponents and his unwavering self-confidence keep him in the spotlight, ensuring that his words—and potential matchups—remain a topic of conversation in the boxing world.
