As the world continues to understand the power that Latinas hold, the more they are getting celebrated and recognized.

Billboard, for instance, recently announced their first ever-Latin Women in Music event, titled Billboard Mujeres Latinas en la Música. The much-anticipated event has now revealed the hosts and honorees — and it is magical.

Get ready to get excited!

The inaugural Billboard Mujeres Latinas en la Música will be hosted by the one and only, La Caballota, La Reina del Reggaeton: Ivy Queen. The incredible Mexican actress and television host, Jacqueline Bracamontes, will be hosting alongside Ivy.

The hosts have the unique pleasure of introducing ground-breaking Latina artist honorees. So far, the list of honorees includes Ana Gabriel, Goyo, Evaluna, Emilia, Natti Natasha, and Thalia.

It is of note that Ana Gabriel, who is a Grammy-nominated Mexican singer-songwriter, will be recognized as the Living Legend. Every Latina mom will tell us that she deserves this – and we wouldn’t disagree.

“Our Latin Women In Music gala is a bold and inspiring event. Our honorees come from vastly diverse places, generations, styles, genres and philosophies, but all have excellence, commitment and unique and uncompromising artistry and points of view. In this landmark year for Latin music, we are so proud to launch our newest tentpole, where we will celebrate outstanding, powerful, leading women yearly,” said Leila Cobo, Billboard’s chief content officer for Latin/Español in an official press statement.

According to an official press release, the inaugural Latin Women in Music event was announced earlier this year as an expansion of Billboard’s Women in Music franchise. In the release, it was mentioned that Billboard and Telemundo aim to further elevate Latin music globally and celebrate the women who have made a concrete impact on Latin music through their artistic achievements, or through tangible, noteworthy actions that have brought measurable recognition and opportunity to women, effecting positive change to the industry as a whole.
