Jennifer Lopez is making jefa moves – and sharing her support and advice with fellow Latinas!

After her eyebrow-raising wedding to Ben Affleck last month, Jennifer Lopez attended the “Raising Latina Voices” event, held by Grameen America this past weekend in Los Angeles, California.

According to an E! News report, the actress, singer, and full-on entrepreneur spoke to more than 400 Latina entrepreneurs while she was also promoting her latest association with Grameen America and Limitless Labs.

This partnership is a philanthropic initiative that looks to empower and support Latina-owned small businesses.

“Jennifer Lopez joins as Grameen America’s first-ever National Ambassador to advocate for and mentor the organization’s network of over 150,000 small businesses run by strong and confident Latina women entrepreneurs,” Grameen America shared on social media.

The organization also added that this association seeks to uplift 600,000 Latina entrepreneurs from 50 different cities around the country.

Her appearance at the event was both a reminder and a call to action in regard to the financial disadvantage that the majority of Latinxs face when looking to start their own business.

The renowned singer also promised — through her partnership with the organization— to be part of a positive change that gives better opportunities to Latinx communities in the U.S.

Jennifer Lopez shared words of inspiration

During this same event, JLo shared the following advice to all the Latina jefas in the audience:

  • “You have to be kind, but you also have to be tough and resolute at times.”
  • “You have to be generous, but you have to be firm.”
  • “You have to be caring, but you also have to be professional.”
  • “You have to be open, but you also have to have boundaries.”
  • “More than anything, I think, is you have to be true to yourself. You have to be honest, and don’t give up.”

Have I mentioned how gorgeous she looked? The Latina superstar rocked an off-white Fendi suit that totally gave the most empowering jefa vibes.
