The first thing former presidential candidate Julian Castro wrote on Twitter when news of Joe Biden’s victory broke was “Adiós Trump!”
Castro took advantage of the moment to re-launch his campaign slogan and one of the most popular products on his platform, the “Adiós Trump!” t-shirt, which was part of his promise when he ran for the White House.
“Joe and Kamala have defeated Donald Trump,” the former San Antonio mayor celebrated on Twitter. “Since so many of you asked, we’re re-launching our ‘Goodbye Trump!’ T-shirt to help you celebrate this historic moment in style!”
Castro also said that all proceeds would benefit United We Dream, the first and largest immigrant youth-led organization in the nation.
After four years under threat, and with a new administration on the way, the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program will finally be able to ensure that undocumented immigrant youth who know only the U.S. as a home are here to stay.
