Karol G headlined the popular Viña del Mar International Song Festival in Chile on Sunday night (February 19). The festival had been on a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, so its organizers knew it had to go big.

And La Bichota did not disappoint.

The Medellín, Colombia native, 32, brought all her glory to the stage. She was a showstopper at first sight. The “SEJODIOTO” singer wore a pink dress, ankle-high socks, and white sneakers. The paisa went on to entertain a crowd of about 15,000 for an hour and 30 minutes.

Karol G performed some of her most-known hits such as “Provenza,” “Bichota,” and “Tusa.” She also had two special guests performing alongside her. The first was Chilean up-and-coming-artist Criss MJ; she performed the unreleased song, “Una Noche en Medellín Remix.”

Her second guest drove the crowd (and social media) even crazier. She invited the iconic Myriam Hernanez. Hernandez is a staple in many Latino/e families and her song “El Hombre Que Yo Amo” is definitely a favorite among many families.

People are losing it over Karol G’s performance at the Viña del Mar festival

So much happened during Karol G’s set and people, naturally, had thoughts. Let’s take a look at what they’re saying!

People are waking up empowered this morning.

Some are saying that her set was truly a beautiful thing to witness.

Is it too early to reminisce on how amazing her” Una Noche en Medellín” performance was? (It’s not.)

This was an intergenerational moment, one that many Latines can appreciate.

The first track of her newest album is allegedly dedicated to her older sister.

Perfection.
