This summer’s playlist promises to be the best in decades. From Bad Bunny’s latest album to new music from Colombian stars Monsieur Periné, this summer will surely be unforgettable.

Monsieur Periné has released the new single “Tú y Yo” as a preamble to their new album due later this year and as they prepare for more than 20 concerts in North America this summer.

The single features the participation of acclaimed Spanish singer, songwriter, and poet Vanesa Martin and an official video filmed in Mexico City and directed by Naty Agudelo Campillo.

“Tu Y Yo’ is a song inspired by a story of true love,” Monsieur Perine’s singer Catalina Garcia explains, “It’s a story of a love so big that it can break through all barriers. It was written as a letter whose sender understands between the lines why they feel a certain way with their heart.”

The song celebrates Pride and the freedom to love whoever you want. The video was shot in Mexico City and features 25 different people with their own real love stories. Cameos in the video include Mexican transgender star Zammoa, YouTube influencer SoyDario, Gabriela Ortega, Uriel Suarez, and more.

“In addition to celebrating Pride,” Garcia shares. “We feel that it’s important to share our vision of what love is – a universal and necessary energy that connects us – powerful, free, without rules or tags, and capable of healing the world.”

The song is the third single from Monsieur Periné’s upcoming album and was written by Catalina Garcia and Santiago Prieto, along with Yasmil Marrufo and Servando Primera.

“Tu y Yo” follows the band’s recent singles “Volverte A Ver” and “Nada.” Their new songs have been co-produced by Rafa Sardina (Stevie Wonder, Calle 13).
