NFT galleries have changed the game when it comes to distributing, selling, and buying digital art.

Multimedia artists have been able to share and sell their pieces in the form of NFTs, otherwise known as “non-fungible tokens.” This allows sellers and buyers of digital art to have a virtual certificate of authenticity because each NFT is unique. Like cryptocurrency, each owner of an NFT can be traced back to its inception.

NFT galleries are a collection of NFT artworks that can include a huge variety of art pieces. From illustrations to videos and audio clips, NFT galleries are an excellent way for digital artists to showcase their work in the community.

Here is a list of NFT galleries and online communities that feature Latine artists, and that should be on your radar!

Xave Market

Xave Market includes a variety of works from Latin American artists, and soon they will be expanding to include work by African artists.

The intention behind Xave Market was to create a space where more artists could have the “possibility of commercializing their digital work without intermediaries such as galleries, curators or art managers, enabling their artistic pieces to reach the entire world in real-time without geographical limits.” Folks can purchase different songs, video art, geometric art, and much more on their market site

Latino Society

On their Twitter page, Latino Society shares that “Latino Society is a woman-led NFT community showcasing GenZ Latino artists [creating] connections and opportunities for Latinos and Latino Allies in Web3.”

Headed by Rianne Sanchez and Danny Sanchez, Latino Society has over 10,000 NFTs and is dedicated to creating and cultivating a community of good vibes through education and exhibitions. You can check out more information on the artists they showcase here

MITO

MITO is an NFT gallery dedicated to curating art from Spanish-speaking artists. MITO has created what they call “crossover collections,” meaning that there is intention and thoughtfulness in including the diverse set of art curated for the gallery, with over 40 artists contributing. The goal is for people to learn and appreciate the story behind every piece. Head here for more info!
