Dr. Marcella Nunez-Smith Speaks About the COVID-19 Vaccine Misinformation in the Latino Community

BELatina News recently spoke to Dr. Marcella Nunez-Smith, who has co-chaired Biden’s COVID-19 advisory board and is also leading the Biden-Harris COVID-19 Health Equity Task Force, regarding the COVID-19 vaccine misinformation in the Latino community.

The Biden Administration has been moving forward with its goal of getting 70 percent of the population vaccinated by July 4th.

In order to reach this goal, officials at the White House, such as Dr. Nunez-Smith, are speaking to the Latinx community in the hopes to encourage them to get vaccinated, which has, in turn, created the initiative, COVID Month of Action. There has been plenty of misinformation going around, so rectifying any inaccuracies is of top priority at the moment.

Being that the prominence of the Delta variants is fast approaching, it is important to get as many people vaccinated as possible to prevent an outbreak in their community.

Click on the video above where Dr. Nunez-Smith provides accurate information on the COVID-19 vaccination and debunking any untrue remarks believed in the Latinx community.

Overall, no one’s information will be used against them, vaccines are always free, being insured is not mandatory to get vaccinated, and texting GETVAX (438829)  or VACUNA (822862) will help anyone get to a site with reliable transportation — for free.
