One of the things that fascinate us most about the Latin American music scene is that it never ceases to surprise us. From every corner of our continent, there is always a voice rising up and translating our feelings into chords.

That was precisely our feeling when we discovered the beautiful voice of Patricia Fuertes, a Peruvian singer with an impressive repertoire and a voice as strong as an oak tree.

Reviewing her catalog on Spotify, we were delighted with songs ranging from jazz and bossa nova fusion to a good salsa.

Patricia has over six million plays and a fan base that grows every day.

Her music draws from Latin rhythms, bossa nova, jazz, and traditional and contemporary Peruvian music. Her artistry re-creates diverse genres and styles, obtaining unique sounds and musical colors that highlight the freedom and rhythm of the Peruvian coast, with its sea and desert, the mystery and majesty of the Peruvian Andes, and the cadence and joy of the rhythms of South America.

That versatility is translated into seven musical albums and several successful singles.

As a soloist and also in collaboration with prominent artists and musical groups, Patricia Fuertes has participated in various concerts, staging, festivals, and events of different genres and styles (jazz, bossa nova, Peruvian music, international music, and Latin American music) reaping triumphs and recognition both in her native Peru and abroad.

Now, Patricia celebrates the release of her ninth and most intimate album, “Alma Latina,” a new proposal that moves between son, cumbia, salsa, and bolero. The album features ten original songs and four ballads that Fuertes composed and worked on during the COVID pandemic.

You can find “Alma Latina” on all streaming platforms.
