Halloween is over but that doesn’t mean we can’t take a moment to celebrate the creativity of our community. Whether you are dressing up to be a spooky monster, a fun cartoon character, or someone you look up to, Halloween is when you can be whoever you want. Even celebrities want to be someone else for the festive night. Here’s a roundup of some of our favorite celebs dressed up for their night on the town.

Manny MUA Gutierrez

Suicide Squad might be an older movie but the love for Harley Quinn and The Joker are still strong. YouTube star and makeup artist Manny Gutierrez used his artistic talents to bring this iconic duo to life. Halloween is one time that you can be an artistic gender bender and, tbh, this is a great look for the makeup artist.

Nikita Dragun

Trans activist and beauty blogger Nikita Dragun is using her Halloween outfit to give trans icon Cristina Ortiz Rodriguez, aka La Veneno, a little bit of love. It is a good example of using one of the most fun adult holidays to teach a little bit of history. If you haven’t heard of La Veneno, let this post from Nikita Dragun serve as the motivation to look into the Spanish celebrity.

You don’t need to be a top-notch makeup artist to make your own DIY Halloween costume. Just a couple of well-placed stitches and fake blood and you can turn into a zombie just like Colombian singer Shakira. Rope in your significant other and you can be the undead couple whose love lasts for eternity as they wander the street in search of their next meal.

Christian Chavez

The Rebelde cast member gave us a full-body makeup look to turn into a sexy demon. Halloween is the unofficial holiday for the LGBTQ+ community and these kinds of looks are what we have come to expect and love. The commitment to giving body makeup from head to toe is something that should be admired. Who else has the kind of patience to sit still long enough to nail this kind of look?

Mario Lopez and Kids

If you don’t know, now you know. Instagram page Foos Gone Wild is a hilarious account giving people a look into the funny side of Chicano culture. Mario Lopez and his boys joined in on the Foos Gone Wild trend and gave us the cholo fitness instructor we have come to know and love. Legit, these kinds of workout videos are everything we need to get motivated to start working out and getting into shape while enjoying ourselves.

Indya Moore

Pose star and non-binary Indigenous trans activist Indya Moore shows what it means to create a Halloween costume with minimalism. Two fun contacts and some lingerie is all you need to make the most of the holiday. Being sexy and a little demonic is legit the Halloween vibe we all recognize but only a brave few are willing to make it happen. Get it, Indya!

Lupita Nyong’o

Never underestimate the genius of a mass-produced and unassuming costume. It might just be a banana but if you have the right personality, you can become the life of the party anywhere you go. Lupita Nyong’o definitely understood the assignment. So, who’s ready to create a whole fruit basket group costume next year?

Mj Rodriguez

Another Pose cast member came through with a minimal and adorable Halloween costume. If you have an animal onesie, Halloween is always the appropriate time to wear it out and about. Not only is it a cute outfit, but it will also keep you comfortable and warm. Like so comfortable and warm. Legit, it is so nice to just be comfortable so we get it.

America Ferrera

Moms are the true superheroes all year and especially during the spooky season. All moms can relate to this post by actor America Ferrera who is definitely giving off those attentive and hardworking mom vibes in this shot. We love to see celebrities experiencing the same moments in their lives that we have all been in.

Camila Cabello

Simple, classic, cultural. A little flower crown and some rhinestones are a good way to get a Halloween costume together in a jiffy. The Mexican-Cuban singer gave us those culturally appropriate vibes in her Día de Los Muertos-inspired Halloween outfit. It really was the year of minimalism by way of still stunning Halloween outfits.

Zoe Saldana

Family costumes always make for a great time, even if they don’t all match. Zoe Saldana and her crew pulled off a family costume inspired by The Nightmare Before Christmas and superheroes. What a classic Halloween movie that is the endless inspiration for Halloween costumes every year. The little ones being their own costumes seems to only add to the wonderfulness of the holiday.

Mark Consuelos and Kelly Ripa

Sometimes the theme for the costume is just a period of time. The 1940s look is a fun moment for any Halloween party. The old-school vibes in the couple’s costume is sexy in all the right ways. Dressing sharp for the holiday is a sure thing because you can never be too overdressed for any occasion and Mark Conseulos’s look is everything.

Cardi B and Kulture

A wicked witch and her little one is a true Halloween classic. We can only imagine how much brujería can be made from this dynamic, witching duo. Cardi B and Kulture are everything in their Halloween costumes and we love to see a mother and daughter costume that is executed so well. You can see the family resemblance in how Kulture poses for photos. Just like her mami.

Ally Brooke Hernandez

The former Fifth Harmony band member didn’t get to dress up this year for Halloween but she made a point to show off her Bratz doll costume from before. Honestly, this outfit could be a Bratz doll or long-lost Spice Girl because of just how well-done it looks. The hair, the shoes, the dress, all of it is just so fun and flirty for a night out if that is your vibe.

Mariah Carey

The Queen of Christmas has decided that Halloween is over and it is time to start getting ready for the Christmas season. Mariah Carey was patient enough to let us all have our time to dress up in costumes and party but now is that time to fall in line. Get ready for “All I Want For Christmas Is You” to start playing from every radio in the country because it is the biggest American Christmas tradition.
