The Rotation

Poetic minds

confront dark nights

and enter revolving doors

where thought remains

Stagnant motion

A continuous rotation ensues,

much like the late nights

when smoke filled my lungs

the way nothing good filled my senses

Numbed emotions with

no mental strength spent considering

the repetition

On and on it goes

The nightly revolutions lead to

lengthy mornings embracing

the comfort of a still bed

A place of peace,

madness

Escapes do not exist, only change
