Karol G has revolutionized live music during her Latin American tour. The Colombian singer has surprised her audiences at every stop by inviting local and iconic singers to each of her concerts.

Last Saturday, Karol G brought the whole world to a standstill when she invited Anahí, a former member of RBD, on stage at Arena México to perform the hit “Sálvame.”

Anahí had been away from the scene for more than ten years, turning down invitations, and her appearance was a reminder of the reach of the “Rebelde” phenomenon in the hearts of an entire generation.

“I’m still crying,” Karol G wrote on Instagram. “It was incredible to see how despite the years of absence, you still shine so brightly. 11 years away from the stage, 11 years of invitations that you turned down because you had other ideals, and you accepted mine!”

“Seeing you again before the world, amid tears and so many emotions, only confirmed that, although for years they have been beautiful memories, the feelings of an entire generation are still alive,” she added.

Anahí did not hesitate to respond. “My heart is going to explode !!!! I can’t express in words what you gave me, the moment that I will carry in my soul forever! You are so great and unique that you gave me the honor of sharing your stage and audience! All your team are so loving; they made me feel so special… Your powerful energy fills the world with light! That’s why you are in that place because souls like yours deserve the whole world! Thank you infinitely! This I will never forget. YOU AND ME FOREVER,” the Mexican singer wrote.

At the end of the song, Karol G said: “This moment is very emotional for two reasons. One, because I’m a fan, superfan [of Anahí],” said the Colombian artist as her voice cracked from the emotional moment. “And also, she was very nervous because she had been there for 11 years and said she didn’t know if people would respond to her [appearance on the stage.] I told her that this moment would be so epic that she would never regret it! And that we miss you horribly and on stage,” she added.
