Since its launch in 2018, the Latina to Latina podcast has seen success.
Hosted by Alica Menendez, the esteemed podcast series is celebrating yet another milestone. It has now reached two million downloads, making it one of the most successful Latina-run podcasts.
For the past four years, its audience has been able to enjoy over 250 episodes where Menendez, who wears multiple hats, including journalist and multimedia storyteller, dives into the professional journeys of Latinas from all walks of life. The Latina to Latina host has spoken to jefas in the arts, politics, business, and technology.
The Latina to Latina podcast as an empowerment tool
The Latina to Latina podcast is constantly celebrating, but it’s not lost on Menendez or the producers that this is a community effort.
“We have no formal marketing budget, but what do we have are loyal listeners who are evangelists for the show. This success is theirs,” said Alicia Menendez in an official press statement.
The podcast provides much-needed transparency within our community through some vulnerable conversations, which, in turn, empowers other Latinas.
“Latina to Latina is such a valuable space for us to celebrate our messy triumphs, work through our questions of identity and community — and dream big!” Latina to Latina producer Paulina Velasco said in the official release.
There is no doubt that the Latina to Latina podcast is a space where other Latinas go to nourish their minds and soul.
“Alicia and I are so very proud of our work and of the team that has made it possible, but we are the proudest of the women who have embraced Latina to Latina for what we always meant it to be, a talisman that helps you discover your own power and beauty,” added Latina to Latina’s co-executive producer, and CEO & Founder of LWC Studios, Juleyka Lantigua.
Its success is also a reminder of the worth of our community. Our numbers are strong. Can you imagine how much we could get done if we all showed up for one another like this at all times?
Are you part of the Latina to Latina podcast audience? We hope so!
