“It’s white supremacy. The worst thing that ever happened to us is that they gave us flags,” the American-Puerto Rican-Dominican comedian, actress, writer, and activist Aida Rodriguez responded when asked about the tension between Puerto Ricans and the Dominican Republic.

She also talked about colorism; and how white supremacy’s ingrained roots are what divides people of color in a recent conversation.

Argentinian soccer legend Lionel Messi is now 35 years old and, according to him, this year’s World Cup could very well be his last tournament and the final chance to get a victory for his country.

“This is a special moment, most likely my last World Cup,” said Messi. The Argentinian star just led Argentina to a 2-0 victory over Mexico to advance to the World Cup elimination round.

Get your snaps ready: Jenna Ortega’s “Wednesday” just made history. The Tim Burton-directed series topped last week’s Netflix’s Top 10 TV chart – and broke a record while at it.

Burton’s comedy-horror garnered a skyrocketing 341.23 million hours and reached 50 million households in its first week (November 21). According to Netflix, it set a new record for most hours viewed in a week for an English-language show. It also reached No. 1 in 83 countries.

The Sad and Not-so-Bad Fan Reactions After Mexico’s World Cup Loss

Credit: Twitter

There’s no denying that Mexico’s last 2022 FIFA World Cup game versus Saudi Arabia was filled with strong emotions. Although the result wasn’t what Mexicans — and many other Latines — were expecting, the last thing that Mexico ever loses is hope…if Mexicans ever even lose hope.

In the saddest, most teary moments of defeat, Mexicans find a way to have a good time and enjoy what’s left of the tournament. This is certainly reflected in the number of memes and reactions that are shared through different social media platforms.

Whether it was with tears or with resignation and humor that we accepted Mexico’s World Cup defeat, we will come back as the great afición that Mexico is, and, hopefully, next time will be better.

Three Things We Noticed From Arcangel & Bad Bunny’s New Song, ‘La Jumpa’

The Puerto Rican Urban artists, Arcangel and Bad Bunny dropped new music (and a music video) less than 24 hours ago – and we are here for it!

The instant-bop, “La Jumpa” is already trending beyond YouTube, which is not surprising whatsoever. Most of us had a hunch that new music from the legendary Puerto Rican musicians was around the corner after Benito posted several stories with him and Arcangel a few days ago.
