Bad Bunny is living up to the “bad” part of his name. (That’s not very Pisces of him.) Now, the Puerto Rican musician is facing backlash from People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) over his treatment of a horse during his Most Wanted tour.

The 29-year-old, who recently was chosen to co-chair the Met Gala, sparked controversy when he rode a horse into the Delta Center in Salt Lake City to kick off his tour last Wednesday. Dressed in denim attire and sporting a full-face alien mask, the Diles artist’s entrance drew criticism from PETA.

In a social media post alongside a video of the incident, PETA condemned the act as “irresponsible” and questioned Bad Bunny’s decision to subject the horse to the loud noises, bright lights, and commotion of the event. “The horse looks stressed and clearly DOESN’T WANT TO BE THERE,” they emphasized.

PETA also wrote: “No “estamos bien” with this irresponsible act.” They used one of his song titles, “estamos bien” as a play on words. In English, “no estamos bien,” roughly translates to “we aren’t good.”

The advocacy group urged Bad Bunny to refrain from including animals in his shows, emphasizing that animals deserve to live peacefully and should not be exploited for entertainment purposes. Fans echoed PETA’s sentiments as well. Under PETA’s post, plenty of people commented in agreement with PETA.

Does Bad Bunny Care About PETA?

Despite the criticism, Bad Bunny repeated the use of the horse at his show in Las Vegas at the T-Mobile Arena on Friday night. He is scheduled to perform in Phoenix on February 27 and 28, followed by appearances in San Francisco and the Pacific Northwest.

As of now, the “MONACO” singer has not addressed the controversy surrounding his use of the horse in his tour performances.

Do you think he will address it? Let’s hope he does. He needs all the brownie points possible with his fans considering how his popularity is dwindling.
