Best of the Week: Katya Echazarreta, Necromancy Cosmetica, and More Belatina news

What a week! On our end, we are getting ready to release the newest episode of BELatina TV while making sure we are sharing news that matters to our community, simultaneously. Though it’s been quite hectic, the newsroom is thankful Mercury Retrograde is behind us – for now. Thankfully, the Biz Bruja left many of us inspired with her latest horoscope piece.

Talking about inspiration, how great was it to be alive to see the first Mexican-born astronaut go into space? This is HISTORIC and we love everything about it.

Since we know not everyone has the time to scroll through the news every day, we want to give you five of the most important stories we wrote about this week – that way you don’t have to go through them all at once. Although, you’re always more than welcome to browse through our site and social media for more news from us, your friends at BELatina.

Now, let’s start. Shall we?

We absolutely loved this story – and hope you do too.

Born, produced, and based out of Puerto Rico, Necromancy Cosmetica has created a line of high-quality, goth-centric products and cultivated an international community that favors the dark and occult.

Rev. and Dr. Robyn Henderson-Espinoza, Ph.D., is certainly breaking boundaries and busting stereotypes left and right as a Transqueer, Latinx Theologist, and activist. Henderson-Espinoza is also an ordained Baptist minister, a title rarely seen among people who identify as transgender and non-binary. But Henderson-Espinoza, who uses gender-neutral pronouns, has always felt a calling to explore the borderlands and in-between spaces, knowing it was their purpose to ponder the big questions of life and work to disrupt supremacy culture.
