The Future of the Music Industry is at the Forefront of BIME, The International Music Conference belatina latine

The international music conference, BIME, is happening now from Oct. 26-29 in Bilbao, Spain. BIME is known for uniting music professionals from around the world and in all music industry sectors. It’s described as the “epicenter of innovation, technology and networking, and the future of the music industry.”

What’s BIME all about?

The conference is celebrating its 10th anniversary with 17 workshops, 70 panels, and 4 days of live music. The live music includes 65 concerts, and 2 award shows: Premios Fest and Premios BIME Equity.

The concert portion of the conference – BIME LIVE – not only features 65 shows but will also be complemented by screenings of music documentaries, per the press release. The release points out that these shows will have a free admission program.

As part of the aforementioned information, the highly-anticipated conference will also unite over 4,500 music professionals from more than 50 countries. 

These pros include Afo Verde (president and CEO of Sony Music Latin-Iberia), Rebeca León (manager of Rosalía), and Leila Cobo (Chief Content Officer of Billboard Latin), to name a few of the exciting figureheads that will participate this week. 

Music representatives from all across the globe – Portugal, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Argentina, Venezuela, Mexico, Cuba, Peru, the Dominican Republic, Germany, the Netherlands, France, Finland, and Austria, to name some – will be present. 

What else can we expect?

The conference is both virtual and in-person for ticketed attendees. In an official statement, it says that “it is an international, cultural, and economic exchange which includes diverse programming divided into two main areas: BIME PRO, aimed at professionals with three intensive days of networking, panels, master classes and workshops that will take place at the Euskalduna Palace from Wednesday to Friday and BIME LIVE, a music event including live artist performances on outdoor stages throughout the city open to the public through Saturday night.”
