Rosarito’s famous festival, Baja Beach Fest, has announced its return to Mexico’s beaches this summer. The famed festival’s lineup is headlined by Maluma, Anuel AA, Farruko, Winsin y Yandel, and Daddy Yankee.

The Reggaeton and Latin Trap festival will also feature sets by Myke Towers, Natanael Cano, Sech, Jhay Cortez, El Alfa, Natti Natasha, and more. Jay Wheeler, Tokischa, Mora, Nicki Nicole, Arcángel, and VF7 and Lunay, among others, will also perform.

The festival will be held on two back-to-back weekends, Aug. 12-14 and Aug. 19-21, for three days each. Each weekend will close with a performance by Daddy Yankee, who recently suggested on social networks that this year he would be making his last world tour.

As Billboard explained, Baja Beach Fest first emerged as a one-day event in 2018 and has continued to grow each year. In 2019, the festival expanded to two days and welcomed top-tier talents such as Ozuna, J Balvin, Becky G, Bad Bunny, and Nicky Jam. In 2020, the festival was postponed due to the pandemic and returned in 2021 with performances by Ozuna, Balvin, and Karol G for 30,000 fans.

“Last year was an extreme success being able to be the first festival back in Latin America and most importantly bringing everyone together safely to have a good time in the beaches of Rosarito,” Baja Beach Fest co-founders Chris Den Uijl and Aaron Ampudia told the Union-Tribune in a written statement.

“This year, like always, we expect to elevate the experience for our fans and have a great time in Rosarito celebrating Latin music.”

According to a representative of the event, this year’s edition will conform to health regulations in effect in Baja California, in August.
