Amid showbiz turmoil and labor strikes, Hollywood stars Jenna Ortega and Paul Rudd are set to embark on a thrilling journey into the world of dark comedy with their upcoming project, “Death of a Unicorn.” The film, known for its witty narrative and intriguing storyline, has caught the attention of entertainment enthusiasts worldwide.  

The movie-making industry is currently grappling with the impact of the ongoing labor strike led by the Screen Actors Guild‐American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA). Despite the challenges, Ortega and Rudd remain determined to bring “Death of a Unicorn” to life, showcasing their unwavering commitment to their craft. But Ortega and Rudd aren’t ignoring the strikes – there is a reason their project got the greenlight.  

According to Variety, SAG-AFTRA granted approval to 39 independent productions to shoot during the strike, including “Death of a Unicorn,” since they are not tied to AMPTP companies. Moreover, a spokesperson told Variety that A24 is not part of the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers.  

‘Death of a Unicorn’ Is Already Causing A Lot of Hype

The project has already piqued the curiosity of fans, as it promises to blend elements of humor and suspense in a unique and engaging manner. Under the backdrop of the strike, the production is expected to navigate the challenges with creative finesse, elevating the film’s appeal even further. 

Jenna Ortega, a young Latina talent who has captured hearts with her versatile performances, is all set to dive into the dark comedy genre with “Death of a Unicorn.” On the other hand, Paul Rudd, renowned for his charismatic portrayals, is poised to add his signature touch to the film, ensuring a delightful cinematic experience for audiences. However, it is important to note that no release data has been released.

The ongoing SAG-AFTRA labor strike has made headlines across the industry. The union’s decision to withdraw waivers for independent film productions has presented hurdles for several projects.
