Song Withdrawn By Kali Uchis

According to Billboard, Kali Uchis announced she is withdrawing the track “Crashing,” her collaboration with D4vd that appeared on his debut album Withered. The single was also accompanied by an official video that ran across digital platforms. The decision came after fans on Instagram referred to D4vd as her friend. She replied, “He is not my friend, I made a song with him that is currently in the process of being withdrawn after today’s disturbing news.”

Another follower challenged her response, and she answered with a pointed remark about the way women are treated when men face accusations. “It is okay, bb, people like this are the reason women are always blamed for what men do, lol. The internalized misogyny of this world, I suppose,” she wrote.

A Case That Shocks California

The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner confirmed that the body found in the Tesla belonged to Celeste Rivas Hernández, who had been missing since April 2024 in Lake Elsinore. Although police have not named D4vd as a suspect, the vehicle’s registration under his name has fueled scrutiny.

TMZ reported that Celeste and D4vd shared an identical tattoo on their right index fingers that read “Shhh…” The victim’s mother told the outlet that her daughter had been in a relationship with someone named David. The real name of D4vd is David Anthony Burke.

The search for Celeste had stretched across months, with her family and Riverside County authorities unable to find answers until early September, when neighbors in the Hollywood Hills reported a strong odor from a parked car. That led investigators to the discovery of her body.

An Uncertain Future For The Artist

In the days following the identification of the body, D4vd abruptly canceled a scheduled concert in Seattle, a decision that only fueled speculation about his situation and his future in music. At present no charges have been filed, and no suspects have been officially named. The Los Angeles Police Department has confirmed that the case is being investigated as a homicide.

Meanwhile, Celeste’s family has turned to the community for support. They created a GoFundMe campaign to raise funds for her burial. “Her family is heartbroken and devastated by this tragic loss. They are asking for help to give her a burial. Any donation is deeply appreciated,” read the description of the campaign.
