Latin artists continue to conquer the charts and position themselves as the conquerors of the music market.

This time, we celebrate that the album “Sin Miedo” by Colombian singer Kali Uchis reached the Vinyl Albums Top 10 and became the sixth Spanish-language album to reach the chart.

As explained by Billboard, “Sin Miedo” was released on clear vinyl for Record Store Day on June 18 via EMI/Interscope/IGA, prompting the album’s 6-1 jump on Latin Pop Albums with 9,000 equivalent album units gained in the U.S. in the week ending June 23, up 201 percent.

Of that unit total, album sales comprise 6,000 (up 6,857 percent), with nearly all of that figure in vinyl sales. At the same time, the album debuts at No. 9 on the vinyl album chart.

This new achievement comes more than a year after Kali Uchis scored her first No.1 on the Billboard album chart with her first Spanish-language album “Sin Miedo (Del Amor y Otros Demonios).”

Born in the United States but of Colombian descent, Kali Uchis made a name for herself with her English-language music after her debut mixtape, “Drunken Babble,” in 2012.

In 2018, the Colombian-American singer released her debut studio album “Isolation” to critical acclaim. However, her second studio album and her first Spanish-language project, “Sin Miedo (del Amor y Otros Demonios),” would bring her to fame. The single “Telepatía” became Uchis’ first solo hit on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Kali Uchis won a Grammy Award for Best Dance Recording for her participation in Kaytranada’s single, “10%,” and now she has conquered one of the most innovative charts, that of the return of the vinyl format.

In this way, “Sin Miedo” joins records like Selena’s “Ones” or Bad Bunny’s “El Último Tour del Mundo” on the list inaugurated in 2011.
