Karol G to Be Honored as Woman of the Year at Billboard Latin Women in Music 2024

Billboard and Telemundo announced that Karol G will be honored as Woman of the Year at the Billboard Latin Women in Music 2024 event. This accolade will be celebrated on June 9, highlighting her significant contributions and impact on the music industry.  

The Billboard Latin Women in Music franchise celebrates the contributions of Latin women to the music industry, recognizing those who have made significant positive impacts in the past year. The 2023 honorees included Shakira as Woman of the Year, Ana Gabriel as Living Legend, Emilia as Rising Star, and Thalia as Global Powerhouse. It’s such an honor to know that such talented Latinas surround our community.  

Karol G Is a Force to Be Reckoned With and Billboard Latin Women in Music Knows It

Karol G’s influence in the music world has skyrocketed in recent years. In 2023, she made history by becoming the first female artist to top the Billboard 200 with a Spanish-language album, “Mañana Será Bonito.” The album’s success led to a groundbreaking stadium tour featuring hits like “TQG” with Shakira and “Provenza.”  

Her impressive achievements were further cemented in March when she won her first Grammy for Best Música Urbana Album for “Mañana Será Bonito.” 

Joining Karol G in the lineup of distinguished honorees for 2024 are Gloria Estefan, who will receive the Legend award; Camila Cabello, honored with the Global Impact award; Ana Bárbara, who will receive the Lifetime Achievement award; Ángela Aguilar, awarded the Musical Dynasty title; Kali Uchis, recognized as Rising Star; and Kany García, who will receive the Spirit of Change award. 

This year’s ceremony continues the tradition of celebrating Latin women who shape the music industry. As the event approaches, fans can anticipate additional honorees and details to be revealed, promising an evening of recognition and celebration of Latin music’s most influential women.
