The saying “united, we are stronger” is probably the truest saying there is. If you still doubt it, ask Latinas. Community leaders, the backbone of the home, and the fastest growing business leaders in the country, Latinas are undoubtedly a force to be reckoned with.
To celebrate this strength, Latinas in Business Inc. has convened Latina entrepreneurs, national leaders, and celebrities to its Women Entrepreneur Empowerment Summit (WEES) in-person event, a unique conference that year after year brings together successful Latinas and other minority entrepreneurs in the region to learn, connect and succeed.
In fact, “success” is the theme of this year’s event.
The 2022 theme, “SUCCEED! How Women Entrepreneurs Make It in America,” alludes to the struggle minority women entrepreneurs and founders face in starting and expanding their businesses in an environment of discrimination and barriers to opportunity.
The summit will take place on June 24, 2022, from 11:30 am to 4:30 pm at Berkeley College’s Mid-Manhattan campus. Registration is now open at https://2022wees.eventbrite.com/.
From 11:30 am to 2:30 pm ET, the event includes inspiration from a keynote speaker, a panel of who’s who speakers in each development area, a luncheon reception, and its signature peer-to-peer networking session that will help women entrepreneurs elevate themselves and their businesses.
“We selected three areas in which most women entrepreneurs continue to struggle to achieve their own goals: Personal Power, as they have to confront the demands of home-schooling young children, caring for their parents, and running their business; Financial Wellness, struggling with funding and business barriers; and Business Innovation, all the new requirements and adaptation that the post-pandemic world is demanding from their businesses,” Susana G Baumann, President, and CEO, explained in a press release.
From 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. ET, 14 successful Latinas will be honored for excelling in growing their businesses or building their communities during the Leaders of the Month Awards Ceremony.
