Marcello Hernandez has earned a unique place in comedy and pop culture with his breakout character Domingo from Saturday Night Live. Now, the viral phenomenon takes a new form: a Funko Pop! figure. Fans can relive the humor and charisma of Domingo with this collectible, standing at 4.6 inches tall (keeping the essence of our favorite short king intact) and complete with a speech bubble declaring, “Direct from Domingo.”

Who Is Marcello Hernandez? (As If the World Didn’t Know by Now)

At 27, Hernandez is no stranger to the spotlight. Born in Miami to a Cuban mother and Dominican father, he brought a vibrant mix of cultural influences to his comedy. After graduating from John Carroll University in 2019 with a degree in Entrepreneurship and Communication, he honed his craft through stand-up and short-form social media content. His weekly TikTok show, Only in Dade, gave a nod to his hometown while showcasing his comedic talent.

Hernandez joined SNL as its first Gen Z cast member at the start of the show’s 48th season. Domingo debuted in a sketch during an episode hosted by Ariana Grande. The scene, centered on a chaotic bridal party performance of a rewritten Sabrina Carpenter song, introduced Domingo with his now-iconic line, “Came all this way, had to explain, direct from Domingo.” The character’s infectious energy quickly captured audiences, both on-screen and online.

The Domingo craze didn’t stop there. Hernandez revived the character weeks later in a sketch set to Chappell Roan’s Hot to Go. Even Carpenter herself got in on the fun, “arresting” Domingo during one of her live shows. And, that my friends, is the power of a Latino.
