Sabrina Carpenter’s Short n’ Sweet tour brought an unexpected guest to the Kia Forum on Nov. 17. Marcello Hernández, appearing as his viral Saturday Night Live character Domingo, turned the concert into a comedy show when Carpenter “arrested” him during her performance of “Juno.” The playful routine, a staple of her tour, reached new heights as Domingo charmed the audience and the singer alike.

Marcello Hernández Is Committed to His ‘Domingo’ Bit

“Domingo from Miami, baby,” Hernández declared, striding into the spotlight in his signature blue suit. Video footage captured the moment as he shouted, “Sabrina, I’m here!” The crowd roared as Carpenter leaned into the bit, quipping, “I wish you were from my bedroom. What are you doing later tonight?” Domingo’s cheeky response, “I’m the cute boy with the blue jacket and the thick accent,” felt straight out of his SNL sketches.

Hernández first introduced Domingo last month in a Saturday Night Live skit that parodied Carpenter’s hit song “Espresso.” The sketch featured a bridal party confessing, through song, that the bride had a fling with Domingo at her bachelorette party. Domingo’s flamboyant charm made the character a viral sensation, and his surprise appearance at Carpenter’s show was a natural fit.

Before being handed pink fuzzy handcuffs as part of the bit, Hernández broke into an improvised version of his SNL serenade. “Came all this way / Had to explain / Direct from Domingo / Sabrina’s a friend / She’s like my sis / But I would hook up though,” he sang, blending humor with a nod to their shared moment in the spotlight. Carpenter played along, changing into a shorter skirt mid-performance and teasing, “Like, now?”

Sabrina Carpenter Is Known for Arresting Fan Faves

Carpenter’s playful arrests have become a hallmark of her shows. Last month, she “took Stranger Things” star Millie Bobby Brown into custody during her Atlanta concert. “I’ve never fallen in love at a concert before,” Carpenter told Brown, adding, “But stranger things have happened, so.”

The singer had already shown her appreciation for Hernández’s comedy. After the SNL sketch aired, Carpenter praised it on Instagram as “very nice and on pitch.” The week’s host, Ariana Grande, responded by reposting Carpenter’s comment and thanking her for the support.

It seems like we are entering a new generation of celebrity – and we are here for it.
