Did you know you are an influencer?
You already can affect someone else’s decision-making process. When a client tells me, “Paulette, I want to create a professional brand,” I first do a Google search. If you haven’t done this in a while, try it. Your actions, professional history, and background already tell a story about who you are. The difference between letting Google tell your story and being intentional of what you share with the world is the time you spend crafting your brand.
I define professional branding as “what people say about what you do when you are not in the room”. Your brand lives in the hearts and minds of those around you, so put some effort into it. Start by blocking 15 minute breaks 2-3x per week to engage with people online and in your networks. They will have a clear picture of your brand by the end of the month and start connecting you with opportunities. Ready to do the work?
