How we think and talk to ourselves becomes the perfect indicator of self-love. The words we think, the words we speak, and the words we repeat in our minds are generally related to the way we see and experience our reality.
The power of words is something that we learn from an early age, and it is through this and the use of positive phrases that the book The Magic of “I Am” / La Magia De “Yo Soy” looks to achieve its goal.
First published in 2021, this bilingual affirmations children’s book was written by Latina author Jocelyn De Leon and illustrated by Zaida Diaz.
A bilingual book ready to enrich families
Sol y Luna Publishing is the company in charge of printing and distributing the book. This business is also owned by De Leon and was founded in 2020 to create printed materials for Latines — and basically anybody — looking to achieve a positive mindset.
“I am officially a children’s book author AND the founder+owner of my own book publishing company,” shared De Leon in an Instagram post. “I got the idea for this book during one of the lowest points in my life — a time when I had to face my limiting beliefs + self-sabotaging tendencies. When I started learning about mindset + how we acquire our beliefs, I remember saying ‘if only knew about this stuff earlier. If only I had been taught the power of positive self-talk when I was younger.’ So I created a bilingual affirmations book for children.”
The book’s illustrations created by Diaz are inspired by some of De Leon’s favorite places in Los Angeles, CA.
Moms can enjoy this bilingual, one-of-a-kind book in the company of their little ones while going through its colorful pages filled with inspirational words.
Although the book is specifically recommended for kids from 0 to 7 years, adults and teenagers can also enjoy this short publication with positive affirmations.
You bet I can always use the help of inspiring phrases — even better if they’re in two languages.
