Latinas are proving once again that there is strength in unity. Instead of competing to dethrone each other on the playlists, Tini, Becky G, and Anitta have joined forces on the song “La Loto.”
As Rolling Stone explained, “La Loto” follows Tini’s collaboration with Christina Aguilera on “Suéltame” and solo singles “La Triple T,” “Fantasi,” and “Carne y Hueso.” Meanwhile, this is Becky’s first song since she released her album “Esquemas.”
“This video is so fire. The concept, the visuals, the outfits, the hair, the looks, the makeup, it’s serving for sure,” Becky G said in a video on Instagram. “Anitta swung by, and so did Tini, and we were all hanging, and we were talking about girl power. We got to do something together!”
And Anitta agreed.
“In a few hours, me and my little sisters @tinistoessel and @iambeckyg are going to break LA LOTO,” Anitta wrote on Instagram ahead of the song’s release.
The success of “La Loto” was not long in coming. Billboard reported that music fans voted in a Friday poll, choosing the union between the three Latin stars as their favorite new music release of the week.
“La Loto” garnered 52% of the vote, beating out new music releases from Burna Boy (Love, Damini), Aespa (Girls – The 2nd Mini Album), Brent Faiyaz (Wasteland), Fivio Foreign, and The Kid LAROI (“Paris to Tokyo”), among others.
