Unwind and Celebrate with Rombauer Vineyards

One of life’s most universal joys is gathering with loved ones and sharing stories over good food and great wine. It is so simple and yet those moments are so rich.

Whether with family or friends in groups big or small, relaxing, or celebrating something big, these experiences look different each time. What should always stay the same is pairing delicious food with extraordinary wines. Rombauer Vineyards is just that.

Why Rombauer?

Established in 1980 by Koerner and Joan Rombauer, Rombauer Vineyards has spent the last four decades crafting superior California wines to accompany all of life’s joyful occasions. Their wines reflect the best grape varieties from different California regions and the winery’s unrelenting quest for quality has established them as a top producer who has earned customers’ trust. Trust in the bottle, trust in the wine, trust in the experience.

Producing the most popular Chardonnay sold in American restaurants, one of Rombauer’s pillars is its wine’s compatibility with food, a value important to the family from the beginning of the winery. Founder Koerner’s great aunt Irma Rombauer wrote the Joy of Cooking, originally published in 1931 and one of the defining cookbooks of American kitchens with over 20 million copies sold.

Part of Family Traditions

As a multi-generational family-owned company, family is incredibly important to Rombauer Vineyards. Wine lovers across the country include Rombauer in their daily lives, at events from casual weekday dinners to life’s milestone celebrations. Wine is shared across tables and between generations, creating memories which last a lifetime.

How to Pair Rombauer Wines

Bringing together family and food is easy when you are drinking Rombauer wines. Here are a few pairing suggestions to inspire your next get together.

Some of them were even featured in our most recent segment on BELatina TV.

Sauvignon Blanc

Bright and crisp, this wine is best with a variety of lighter food. Dishes with citrus notes like ceviche or guacamole are incredible as are oysters, Pad Thai, or shrimp with a simple lemon sauce. As you’ll see in the episode, Chef James recreates the Peruvian classic ceviche, but with his own signature flair of course.BELatina Rombauer Sauvignon Blanc California-style Chardonnay

Exceptional on its own, this wine shines when paired with rich dishes; butter sauces, cream-based soups, fried chicken, seared scallops, crab cakes, and lobster rolls are just a few of examples of recipes to consider with Chardonnay.

This wine favors the bold! Open this Zinfandel with a range of dishes from pizza to paella, mole to turkey on Thanksgiving. This wine can also complement a little sweetness and spice so consider it when eating everything from carnitas to burgers. It also, as Chef James demonstrates, adds an unexpected lift to classic sauces.
