‘What Could Be Might Not’ Poem by Sawhney

Sawhney Poet BELatina

As a woman, we are often told that we should not feel nor express lust. In my experience, many men often confuse a lustful expression as wanting to fall in love. Obviously, the line between love and lust is tiny and easily blurred. But of course, the way that each person behaves during intimate moments drives the direction of the relationship.

In this poem, I am warning a lover that they can come close if they would like, but they should not expect my heart to love them more than what my body expresses.
