The much-anticipated music festival, BottleRock Napa Valley 2022, took place this past weekend. With the summer heat making its way to California, the festival-goers anxiously awaited the performances from their favorite artists.

As festivals ease their COVID restrictions, BottleRock had an estimated 40,000 people in attendance (aside from the talent and crew.) Still, California remains one of the safest states regarding COVID safety.

The festival lent itself to highlighting artists that tugged at our nostalgia. From seeing P!nk’s first performance since the pandemic began to rocking out to Metallica (we can’t forget how important they are for alt Latines), the event brought unforgettable experiences.

Per usual, its famous Williams Sonoma Culinary Stage was fired up with appearances from some of the world’s most beloved chefs.

If you missed the show, we’ve got you covered!

Here are four of our favorite moments at BottleRock this year:

Pitbull – known as Mr.Worldwide or Mr. 305 as well – graced the stage at BottleRock with his high-energy tunes. The Latino musician played his most popular tunes turning up the heat even more at Napa Valley.

Metallica is a household name – for everyone. There’s no denying that. So, it was great to hear that they were headlining BottleRock this year. Their appearance was a friendly reminder of how people will never “Turn The Page” on their legacy.

Because P!nk hadn’t performed since before the pandemic began, she reminded everyone that her performances are out of this world. In recent years, P!nk has added acrobatic numbers to her performances, giving her audience a taste of adrenaline as they watch her. BottleRock was no different. She used her acrobatic skills to glide over BottleRock’s audience effortlessly. Her performance also included her singing covers to other women artists as a nod to them and their influence on her music. She covered No Doubt’s “I’m Just a Girl, Janis Joplin’s “Me and Bobby McGee, Joan Baez’s “Baby I’m Gonna Leave You, and a song that screams 90s nostalgia (which we love), “What’s Up,” by the 4 Non-Blondes.

The presence of food is never missed at BottleRock, thanks to the Williams Sonoma Culinary Stage. Crowds can watch highly-regarded, frequently chefs with Michelin-star restaurants on stage as they discuss the beauty that can be created in a kitchen. The William Sonoma Culinary Stage features not only top chefs but also, many times, includes musicians to share the culinary experience. One of the culinary events this year was when Twenty-One Pilots joined Chef Aaron Sanchez – and we loved every moment of it.

We can’t wait to see what BottleRock 2023 has in store!
