This past weekend, the world was reminded of the value Latinas bring.
Legendary Latina artists trended through social media as people expressed their excitement about seeing their favorite artists vibing and thriving. From being recognized for starting the movement involving the Latin music scene to making space for other artists, there is no denying that Latinas are a force to be reckoned with.
In an effort for the Latin music industry to sway away from being predominantly male-dominated, it continues to uplift Latina singers.
Bad Bunny, Wisin y Yandel, Grupo Firme, and others are sharing stages with Latinas who will be remembered in history.
Let’s take a look at the performances that captivated us throughout the weekend!
Bad Bunny shares the stage with not one BUT two Legendary Latinas
Bad Bunny is pretty much done with his North American leg of his “World’s Hottest Tour,” and he’s ending it with a bang.
Over the weekend his special guests were two Latinas who paved the road for Latinas in the urban space. He brought out none other than La Cabollota, La Diva, the OG, Ivy Queen.
Ivy Queen IS reggaeton’s mother. No questions asked. However, the historical machismo in the industry dealt her an unfavorable deck a few years ago. Thankfully, Bad Bunny is reminding the world of her grandiosity.
She came out looking stunning wearing a bright bodysuit rocking Puerto Rico’s emblematic colors: red, white, and blue.
Ivy Queen took to her social media to thank Benito for the wonderful weekend and to let everyone know that she won’t deal with anyone who talks shit about him, especially since he’s done more for her than other artists in the genre ever did for her.
El Conejo Malo also brought out the Dominican rapper, La Cardi, aka Cardi B. She went on to sing the song that got her recognition, “Bodak Yellow,” as well as “I Like It.”
After the show, Cardi B stated how Bad Bunny’s crowd was larger than the one at the 2022 Super Bowl. Those are bold remarks. They are also most likely true because of where Latin music is at now.
Both Ivy Queen and Cardi B showed each other love at the concert. We love to see two queens support each other!
Bad Bunny has made it a habit to show his admiration for Latine singers. This is not the first time – nor do we predict it’s the last time.
Wisin y Yandel Sing Alongside Natti Natasha
The Puerto Rican urban duo, Wisin y Yandel, kicked off their La Ultima Mision tour this past Friday. According to them, they will be retiring after completing the tour – leaving many saddened fans behind, including myself.
El duo de la historia has been present in the urban industry for the past 25 years. They were among the first reggaeton artists to go global and have collaborated plenty with El Cangri, Daddy Yankee.
During their first show, which took place in Miami, Florida, they added to the already-high-energy show by bringing Natti Natasha to the stage. And I’m glad I got to witness this magical moment!
Wisin y Yandel’s special guest on their firsr concert of La Ultima Misión was the queen, @Natti Natasha #nattinatasha #fyp #parati #latinatok #latina
She came out to sing the remixed version of “Mayor Que Yo.” Then, they sang their own version of Ozuna’s “Criminal.”
Prior to bringing Natti Natasha out, Wisin y Yandel told the crowd how important women were in the urban music scene. It’s good that they realize that now. Hopefully, other male urban artists take note and follow suit.
Karol G Gave Her Texan Fans a Treat by Singing with Grupo Firme
Karol G is almost a month into her Strip Love Tour and it’s a total vibe. From hosting impromptu dancing contests in her concerts, where cash prizes are distributed to bringing out special guests, she’s going all out.
Her show in Hidalgo, Texas was no different. Since La Bichota is going above and beyond to please her fans (and herself), she brought out the regional Mexican band, Grupo Firme. Karol G has previously said she’s a fan of the Mexican group.
Once Grupo Firme came onto the stage, the concert (more like a party) intensified.

Grupo Firme and Karol G both sang two of their classics: “Tusa” and “Ya Superame.”
It was definitely a spectacle. Thank goodness for social media because the FOMO is real. For Image credit or remove please email for immediate removal - firstname.lastname@example.org
