William Omar Landrón Rivera, famously known as Don Omar, has revealed to the world that he is currently battling cancer. The Puerto Rican reggaeton star disclosed this deeply personal news through a poignant Instagram post, where he shared an image of his wrist adorned with an Orlando Health bracelet from the United States.  

In a defiant tone, he wrote, “Today yes, but tomorrow I will not have cancer. Good intentions are welcome. See you soon. #fuckcancer,” without specifying the exact type of cancer he is confronting. 

Though he disclosed his cancer diagnosis, he didn’t share what type of cancer he’s been battling. 

Yet, the announcement sent shockwaves through the music industry and among his legion of fans worldwide. Messages of support and encouragement poured in swiftly from colleagues, fans, and figures in entertainment. The popular celebrity commentator, Molusco, shared that Don Omar could count on the world’s prayers.  

Don Omar Has Had an Impressive Career in Latin Music

Don Omar, born in 1978 in Puerto Rico, rose to prominence as a trailblazer in the reggaeton genre during the early 2000s.
