Rauw Alejandro wasted no time distancing himself from the controversy enveloping Sean “Diddy” Combs. The Puerto Rican singer addressed the subject during an appearance on the New York-based radio program El Vacilón de la Mañana on Mega 97.9 FM, where he tackled questions that veered from professional to the deeply personal.

When asked about being spotted alongside Diddy at an Inter Miami soccer game, Rauw quickly clarified, “That was like three years ago, before all this exploded. Honestly, I don’t know much about the man. I didn’t even understand what he was saying—I was focused on the game, and his English was strange.”

The hosts pushed further, implying Diddy may have invited Rauw to one of his infamous parties. “He said something like, ‘I have a party at my house,’ but just to be clear, I never went to those parties,” Rauw stated firmly, cutting through the speculation with ease as the studio erupted in laughter.

When Did Rauw Alejandro Interact with Diddy?

This exchange comes amid serious allegations against Diddy, who was indicted in September on charges ranging from sex trafficking to extortion and conspiracy. The indictment, spanning 14 pages, alleges decades of abuse, coercion, and threats against women and others in his orbit. Despite pleading not guilty, Diddy was denied bail multiple times and remains at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn.

Rauw also mentioned a professional interaction with Diddy, hinting that the rapper had been interested in a musical collaboration. “He was working on an album and suggested we do a song. I just said, ‘Sure, I’ll let you know,’” Rauw recounted during the interview.

As the conversation shifted, Rauw delved into the challenges and growth behind his latest album, Cosa Nuestra, released in November. Speaking to Us Weekly en Español during a press conference in Miami, he reflected on the resilience and adaptability that shaped his work. “There are always obstacles, whether in work or family life. My mother has always been resilient, and from her, I learned to stay calm and move forward,” he said.
