Medellín native Ryan Castro, who recently released a song with Peso Pluma, has teamed up with multi-platinum producer/artist SOG to create “EL RITMO QUE NOS UNE” – a fun anthem serving as the official song for Colombia’s National soccer team. This track features the voices of two-star players from the team, Juan Fernando Quintero and Luis Diaz, adding an extra layer of excitement to the collaboration.

The debut of “El Ritmo Que Nos Une” took place at the USA vs Colombia soccer match on Saturday, June 8th, at Commander’s Field in Maryland. Accompanying the song’s release was a visually stunning music video shot in Barranquilla, the proud home of the Colombian National Team. The song itself is a blend of classic Reggaeton beats infused with traditional Colombian rhythms like cumbia, celebrating the unity and pride that soccer instills in the hearts of Colombians.

“I feel immensely honored to dedicate a song to our beloved Colombian national team. Growing up, we all idolized our soccer heroes, and merging soccer with music is an unforgettable experience,” said Ryan Castro in an official press statement.

Beyond being a celebration of soccer, “El Ritmo Que Nos Une” also showcases Ryan Castro’s friendship with the players, Luis Diaz and Juan Fernando Quintero. By Castro integrating them into his music, he crafted a song that promises to promote excitement among Colombians as the national team competes in the United States in June and July 2024.

“It’s incredibly exciting for us to be part of a song that we know will ignite the passion of our fans for the sport we love and the team that unites us all,” the players said.

Ryan Castro Is Killing It

This collaboration comes hot on the heels of Ryan Castro’s debut studio album, El Cantante Del Ghetto, released just last month.

The album swiftly earned RIAA platinum certification and soared to #2 on Spotify’s Top Albums Global Debut chart. Featuring 18 tracks inspired by classic reggaetón, dancehall, and trap, the album serves as a heartfelt tribute to Castro’s roots and humble upbringing in his hometown. Castro has also announced his inaugural concert at the Movistar Arena in Bogota, Colombia, scheduled for September 6th.
