The holidays came and went by so fast! It feels like it was Thanksgiving just last week. And in a blink of an eye, we are already organizing our planners, making sure our calendars have all our important dates set up, and getting our spiritual and mental state ready to ease into 2022.

For all of you who are currently organizing the year — or just need a little more oomph to encourage yourself to get to it — we got the perfect soundtrack! We have curated a playlist to get you into the mood. Whether it’s cleaning, organizing, planning, visualizing, manifesting – anything that will spark your creativity and inspire you to start the new year just right.

We got this y’all! Let’s welcome the new year with excitement and love. Here are songs (both old and new!) to get you into the groove. Bailamos?

A Quién Le Importa – Thalia

Mhmm, this year is all about being unapologetic, getting the ideal job, the ideal relationship or friendship, the perfect compensation, traveling to the getaway you’ve wished for all these years. It’s all about putting effort towards your goals — without feeling guilt, anxiety, or needing the acceptance of anyone.

Dunas – Javiera Mena & Myriam Hernandez

Our electro-pop goddess from Chile, Javiera Mena, always makes feel-good tracks! This is her latest, alongside collaborator Myriam Hernandez.

Alborotá – Alea

Alea is an Afro-Colombian singer whose voice wraps you in beautifully composed rhythms laced with topics around social issues, feminism, and more. In fact, “Alborotá” is a tribute to anyone who identifies as a womxn while encouraging them to shine no matter what. Do you ever have those days where you desperately need some motivation? Well, listening to Alea’s “Alborotá” will give you the push you need.

Versos de Placer – maye

maye is a singer-songwriter from Caracas, Venezuela, who is currently touring with The Marias! Her ethereal and dreamy indie-pop sounds are such a vibe to keep this new year, todo tranqui.

Mr. Carisma – Ximena Sariñana

Mexican singer-songwriter and actress Ximena Sariñana came back in 2021 with a different sound, but we aren’t mad at it. She continuously switches it up and evolves both in her styles and sounds—this one’s for those who want to text their ex. Don’t do it y’all!

La Vida Es Un Carnaval – Celia Cruz

Our Afro-Cuban queen deserves all the flowers for this one. We had to include one of the classics that gives you the ánimo you need for 2022. Although life gives us unexpected ups and downs, it’s all about how you perceive it! No hay que llorar!
