Did you know that people usually abandon their New Years’ resolutions by January 17? But if this is the year you want to build your abundance mindset and create a life of joy, follow these simple guidelines to achieve your #2022Resolutions:
- Choose your theme for the year. Select 1-3 values to explain the type of life you want to create for yourself and write them down in a place where you can see them every day. I love creating my own desktop backgrounds and cellphone wallpapers to keep me inspired all year long.
- Instead of setting goals, write down your intentions for the year. Goals are focused on the result, but intentions are about what you want to achieve and how you plan to do it. If you don’t reach a goal, you can get discouraged and feel like you lost, but set intentions to build purpose and pivot when your resolutions no longer serve you.
- Identify your ridiculously small steps. I coach my clients on creating these steps that are so small you can complete them during a zombie apocalypse or if La Llorona was chasing you. Every morning write down 3 ridiculously small steps that will get you closer to your 2022 intentions. Here’s an example: instead of writing down “today I will update my LinkedIn profile for the job search” your ridiculously small step can be “I’ll complete the password recovery step to be able to login to my profile.”
