The Sueños Music Festival brought two days of Latin music to Grant Park in Chicago this past weekend, drawing a massive crowd and a lineup that included J Balvin, Kali Uchis, Manuel Turizo, Paulo Londra and dozens of other major names in Latin music. Fuerza Regida headlined the festival, and when the group walked offstage they left behind something that had nothing to do with the performance itself: a 100,000 dollar investment in two of Chicago’s most important Latino cultural institutions, made in partnership with Amazon Music and Amazon Community Engagement.

The donation benefits the Puerto Rican Arts Alliance and the National Museum of Mexican Art, and it is directed specifically toward expanding arts education, music education and creative development opportunities for Latino youth and emerging artists across the city.

What the Investment Actually Means for Chicago

The funds going to the Puerto Rican Arts Alliance and the National Museum of Mexican Art will be used to expand the kind of programming that gives young people in Chicago’s Latino communities access to creative resources and artist development opportunities that are often out of reach without institutional support. Both organizations have spent years building infrastructure for Latino cultural life in the city, and this contribution adds to the resources they need to keep that work growing.

Dr. Ignacio Lopez, Executive Director of the Puerto Rican Arts Alliance, described the donation as proof that when global artists and industry leaders choose to invest in culture rather than simply celebrate it, the impact reaches the next generation of artists directly. Jose Ochoa, President and CEO of the National Museum of Mexican Art, said the support creates meaningful opportunities for young people to discover their creative voices, develop leadership skills and carry forward the traditions of their community.

This contribution builds on a history of investment that Amazon Community Engagement has maintained in Chicago since 2022, which now totals over one million dollars dedicated to Latino-serving organizations in the city, with over 300,000 dollars of that directed specifically toward arts-focused initiatives.

Fuerza Regida’s Decision to Give Back

Fuerza Regida has built one of the most remarkable trajectories in Latin music over the past several years, accumulating over 35 billion streams, landing 15 entries on the Billboard Hot 100 and selling out performances at Madison Square Garden and the Hollywood Bowl. The group emerged from San Bernardino and became a defining force in the Jersey Corridos movement, and their 2025 album “111XPANTIA” spent over 14 months on global charts while holding the number one position in Mexico.

Their decision to use their headlining moment at Sueños to make a community investment reflects a pattern the group has been building through the Fuerza Music Foundation, which supports scholarships, community initiatives and cultural programs for first-generation families. The foundation’s work earned them recognition as Humanitarians of the Year at the Variety Hitmakers awards.

The group addressed the donation directly, saying that Chicago has always shown them love and that giving back to the community is a core part of everything they do. They described their support for the Puerto Rican Arts Alliance and the National Museum of Mexican Art as an investment in the next generation of Latino artists and creators, and expressed pride in being part of that effort.

Amazon’s Broader Vision for Latin Music and Community

Ramón Fragoso, Head of US Latin at Amazon Music, framed the investment as part of a larger mission the company has been pursuing around Latin music and community engagement. He described the Sueños festival as a demonstration of how Amazon connects music, commerce and community at scale, combining premium livestreams of the festival with the kind of direct community investment that produces lasting impact beyond the event itself.

Ian Conyers, Senior Manager of Community Engagement at Amazon, described music as a force capable of opening doors and shaping a young person’s future, and said that investing in the communities responsible for Latin culture was as important as celebrating that culture through a festival. He pointed to the Puerto Rican Arts Alliance and the National Museum of Mexican Art as organizations actively creating opportunities for young artists and musicians across Chicago’s Latino community.

Fans attending Sueños also had access to curated merchandise both on site and through a dedicated festival storefront on Amazon, including limited-edition Amazon Music and Sueños apparel and exclusive artist merchandise such as Yandel’s Amazon-exclusive “Infinito” vinyl featuring an Amazon Music Original recording.

Fuerza Regida is set to continue their momentum with the first-ever United States stadium tour for a modern música mexicana act, titled “This Is Our Dream,” which begins June 18th in San Diego.
