Colombian rising star Ela Taubert’s journey from a small town to the grand stage is the epitome of dreams realized. Recently, on April 6th, her dream took flight as she opened for Karol G’s concert in Bogotá, Colombia. Fans cheered Ela when she got on the stage, showcasing the power of her music, which is something that resonates with Karol G as well. For Ela, this was a defining moment in her musical career – and La Bichota will always be part of it.

In a recent interview with BELatina, Ela Taubert walked us through her journey. It had a little bit of everything and there’s no doubt that she will be rocking the Latin music scene soon.

What Ela Taubert Had to Say

Ela’s love affair with music traces back to her childhood in Bogotá, although her roots are intertwined with the scenic landscapes of Villavicencio. Growing up, she found solace and inspiration in the harmonious blend of nature and melody, often reflecting on her family’s musical legacy. “Since I was little, my family supported me in this dream,” she said, highlighting the pivotal role her family played in nurturing her musical aspirations.

Influenced by diverse artists ranging from the beloved Karol G to the soulful Adriana Lucía, Ela’s musical palette is as eclectic as her music. Her songs, born from personal experiences and heartfelt reflections, resonate with audiences worldwide, transcending linguistic and cultural barriers. “For now, it’s more about that line of honesty of leaving the heart in each song,” she shared.

One of Ela’s latest tracks, “¿Cómo Pasó?” talks about the intricacies of love and heartbreak, inviting listeners on the familiar journey of romance. With each lyric penned from the depths of her soul, Ela encapsulates the universal essence of human emotions, making her music a refuge for those navigating the complexities of love and life. This song showcases the duality of this complicated emotion, which further shines a light on her artistic capabilities.

Beyond her music, Ela is the driving force behind “Nuestro Refugio,” a community-driven initiative that seeks to create a safe haven for fans to connect and find solace through music. “Music has always been a refuge,” she explained and emphasized the transformative power of music in healing and uniting individuals from all walks of life.

The butterfly, a symbol of transformation and resilience, holds special significance for Ela — a reminder of her own metamorphosis from an aspiring artist to a full-blown artist. “The butterfly represents the beauty of change,” she reflected. She even recalled how present butterflies have been in her life. At pivotal moments of her life, she’s been one to see a butterfly nearby, which she takes as a positive sign from the universe. Even Karol G has a butterfly tattooed on her, which further proves her theory.

Ela Taubert continues to carve out her path – but she is enjoying every moment. For now, she remains steadfast in her commitment to inspire others to pursue their dreams relentlessly. “Don’t stop dreaming or believe that dreams have limits,” she urged, echoing the sentiments that have fueled her own ascent to success.

With her butterfly symbol fluttering proudly, Ela Taubert stands poised to soar to greater heights through her music and her genuine connection to humanity.
