Karol G brought her “Mañana será bonito” tour to an incredible close at Estadio Azteca in Mexico with a sold-out concert that left fans mesmerized. Not only did she serenade her fans with her songs, but she also brought Xavi, the rising star of corridos tumbados. Together, they performed the chart-topping hits “La Diabla” and “La Víctima” — and fans couldn’t be happier.

During the concert, Karol G took a moment to introduce a very special guest, stating, “I spent all of December listening to his songs… I bumped into him somewhere. He asked when we would do something together; I said I would love to have him here. He said he had never sung in his country, in Mexico.” With those words, the opening chords of “La Diabla” echoed through Estadio Azteca, igniting cheers as the 19-year-old Xavi took the stage.

Karol G and Xavi first crossed paths in early January, with the young artist sharing a photo alongside ‘La Bichota’ on his Instagram account to commemorate the moment. By then, Xavi had already claimed the title of the leading exponent of corridos tumbados, dethroning Peso Pluma, and securing spots on Spotify’s Top 50 Mexico and Top 50 Global playlists.

Amidst the sea of videos, one shared by user @lilianalonso97, Xavi’s aunt, stood out. In the clip, the influencer is seen alongside her sister, Xavi’s mother, belting out “La Diabla” at the top of their lungs. The TikToker captioned the video with two messages: “The reaction of a proud mom” and “Imagine hearing your son for the first time at Estadio Azteca.” Xavi’s mother, overwhelmed with emotion, was seen in tears as she witnessed her son being celebrated by the crowd. Unsurprisingly, her post went viral on TikTok.

Xavi Is Moving on Up

Xavi keeps making moves and it looks as though he has a lot more to give to the world. At the moment, “La Diabla,” which was released on November 30th, currently holds the top spot on Spotify’s Global Top 50 and is the most-watched video on YouTube. Let’s see what else he has in store for 2024.
