Latino Actors Pedro Pascal, Colman Domingo, and Annie Gonzalez Join Forces in An Upcoming LGBTQ+ Movie, ‘Drive-Away Dolls’

Some of Hollywood’s favorite Latino actors are joining forces in the upcoming LGBTQ+ movie, “Drive-Away Dolls.” 

Produced by Focus Features and Working Title, the comedy will star Pedro Pascal and Colman Domingo. They will also star alongside Annie Gonzalez, who appears in “Gentefied,” queer actor, Beanie Feldstein, Bill Camp, and Matt Damon, among others. 

The movie was written by Ethan Coen and Tricia Cooke and it’s evident they had a lot of fun making their vision come to life.  

“Drive-Away Dolls” will give its viewer the opportunity to follow Jamie, who encompasses a passionate soul, after a breakup with her girlfriend. To look for a fresh start, Jamie finds solace in her friend, Marian. Jamie’s friend is described as someone who “needs to loosen up.” According to its IMDB profile, the friends embark on an unexpected road trip to Tallahassee, but things quickly go awry when they cross paths with a group of inept criminals.  

The comedy’s producers were Coen, Cooke, Robert Graft, Tim Bevan, and Eric Fellner. Aside from being a writer and a producer for the film, Cooke also directed it.  

People are excited to watch ‘Drive-Away Dolls’

The Afro-Latino actor, Colman Domingo, took to his Twitter to express his excitement about “Drive-Away Dolls” He tweeted “Finally I can share!” and a link to news about his new film.  

Some people have already shared their thoughts on the upcoming film as well.  

Twitter user @mariacelestetp tweeted: “This drive away dolls movie is gonna be very unhinged, i’m already seated lmao” 

Like her, we are seated too.  

“Variety” stated that Focus Features will distribute “Drive-Away Dolls” in the United States with Universal Pictures International, which shares an owner with the indie label in Comcast, handling foreign distribution. 

“Drive-Away Dolls” is set to be released on September 22nd, 2023.
